SalishRocks Web Design has designed and developed a large number of standard, yet flexible, templates for practically all foreseeable purposes for most websites. All websites developed with the Dynamo templates include a built-in facility for easy management of the content.

The Templates

The templates are the webmaster's tool for producing the pages of the websites. You may consider them the frames and canvases for the content. The following lists the currently available templates which will always be adjusted for the layout, look and navigation for each individual website, and additional template types will be produced as needed.

Content Management

The Dynamo includes a web-based program module that is built into the website. It allows you, the owner of the website, to add, edit or remove page content such as text and pictures. Dynamic pages that use databased content, for instance for galleries, news, blogs, calendar entries, lists, etc. may be maintained by adding, editing or removing databased entries.

This makes a Dynamo website a dynamic system. The content may be maintained in real-time through simple and intuitive input screens and interaction that does not require any knowledge of web design - only common sense.

This gives you the option to be in control of the content yourself while the SalishRocks webmaster fades into the background. But you may of course opt to have the webmaster continue to manage all or parts of the content.

Organizational Systems

In addition to the basic and standard Dynamo content management, SalishRocks Web Design designs and implements separate plug-ins to the Dynamo website for business and organizational systems. Read more on the 'Organizations' page.

The Nerdy Stuff

The templates are written in the latest, standard scripting language, HTML5, thus ensuring a long lifespan and compliance with all major browsers and applications.
The websites use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for a consistent look across the site itself, and in order to comply with requirements for responsiveness to devices with different screen sizes, from smartphones to desktop computers.
Database management is enabled by using SQL which operates inside of PHP, a programming language (reminiscent of the "C" language) which supports advanced data manipulation.
